Leased Lines
Running a business on slow internet can be awkward. Your staff waste time waiting for things to download or upload. Reliably accessing Cloud Services becomes an issue. While full-fibre will eventually be available to most across the UK, it’s not there yet. If you need more speed the answer is leased line.
Leased Lines
What is a Leased Line?
A leased line is a private & dedicated internet connection that allows businesses to gain a fast, reliable internet connection with extremely fast speeds. What’s more, the line is synchronous; that means you get the same speed for uploads as downloads. Standard broadband connections are usually asynchronous, meaning faster download speeds than upload. For most businesses, fast upload is as important as fast download.
Typical FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) broadband gives you speeds of 10Mbps to 80Mbps, which is good enough for the majority of users at home. When you’re running a business, these speeds might not cut it. Leased lines however, dependant on the contract you choose and the areas you are in, can go all the way up to 10Gbps. These types of speeds can download 50GB+ files in under a minute, which makes data transfers up or down extremely easy. They support lots of staff working on Cloud Services and provide an excellent remote working experience.
As with broadband services, we partner with ICUK to provide our leased line services. This includes the same local support and management backed up by the skilled team at ICUK. Our leased lines include a 5hr SLA (Service Level Agreement i.e. time to fix an issue). We can also provide a DSL auto-failover backup service if required.
In our area, we are able to offer services from BT Wholesale, TalkTalk Business and Sky Business.
